ASUU STRIKE UPDATE 2022

It is no longer news that the Academic Staff Union of Universities {ASUU} has embarked on a one month warning strike in preparation for the worst just to get the attention of the government in order to press home their demands concerning the inability of the Federal Government of Nigeria to meet their demands. The warning strike has generally affected both Federal and state universities in the nation.
ASUU says the government is not ready to easily and peacefully settle the disputes between them, thereby leading to the call and implementation of the strike, which took effect from February 14th.
Some students, academic and non academic staff were not pleased with the new development leading to the protest held at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) as at the time of this write-up.
The Protestants comprising of mainly students' mentioned that "recurring strikes hinders proper Education and presents half baked graduates to the society"
ASUU suprisingly called it a warning strike as further delay after a month would lead to the total closure of the universities concerned and a "strike till further notice".
The government is yet to come out plain and speak its mind on the issue at hand!
However, the Minister of Education, Adamu - Adamu has stood in defense of the government, saying the strike is not the fault of the government, which led to further vexation of the ASUU officials.

  1. ASUU going on strike has really affected us the students. But, I don't see any reason why students should be protesting
It's a waste of time. But, to be honest there are some individuals that are happy with the ongoing strike.
    I rest my case...😴😴😴
